Costa Rica: An Eco-Tourism Dream

Costa Rica is one of the world’s most diverse natural landscapes. No other country on the planet has as much bio-diversity. The country has set aside 27% of her land for conservation and is the leader of Central America for conservation practices.

In addition, Costa Rica has different climates on her Pacific and Caribbean sides. The Pacific side is comprised of rocky headlands and stretches of white and black sand beaches with palm trees and open cattle country in the north. The south contains lush tropical rainforest. The Caribbean side is a flat plain filled with lagoons and waterlogged forests, and gorgeous beaches. Finally, down the center of the country lies a chain of active volcanoes, streams, and cloud forests. The highest peak is Mt. Chirripo at 3820M.

10 DAY COSTA RICA ECO-CHALLENGE--- Physical Rating: 4

TESTIMONIAL

Both Silvia and Fabian are excellent guides. Very knowledgeable and polite. enthusiastic and energetic. I really appreciated introductions to new foods and drinks - that's a major reason I travel as well as learning about the culture and environment (ecology & cultural).
